Mazes of Fear

About this book

Azza Mostafa’s Mazes of Fear approaches the darker experiences of women as wives, mothers and lovers. Its short stories consider the fragmentation and self-reproach that can develop under the pressure of social expectations. Alongside pain, the collection considers the effort to move beyond it and face the world with greater strength. The emphasis is on women’s experience and the burdens placed upon them.
