The Shore of Deprivation

About this book

Alaa Abu Shehata compiles years of literary composition in The Shore of Deprivation, published by Huruf Manthura Publishing and Distribution. The volume gathers standard-Arabic poetry alongside verses written in the Egyptian dialect. Dramatic experiments in both prose and verse appear alongside prose articles. A concluding section presents a series of reflections and aphorisms. This mixture offers materials catering to various literary tastes instead of restricting the contents to verse alone.
