About this book
In Rasool Darweesh’s play, Khalil and Uhud travel through time by means of a mysterious app and encounter Al-Hallaj in prison in Abbasid Baghdad. Their imagined meeting connects the past with present-day questions about power, recurring conflict and the limits of freedom. Faith and the struggle with personal impulses form part of its dramatic inquiry.
