Crowned in Black

About this book

Mostafa Yehia’s Crowned in Black begins from the idea of the heart’s prostration: an inward devotion to God distinguished from the visible movements of worship. The introductory excerpt invokes a saying attributed to Ibn al-Qayyim and connects sincere faith with gratitude for Islam. This passage introduces a devotional perspective concerned with the inner meaning of religious practice. Its focus is the relationship between belief and worship.
