There Is No One Else for Me

About this book

Mona Khodr presents Egyptian vernacular poems in There Is No One Else for Me, published by Huruf Manthura Publishing and Distribution. The collection balances accessible phrasing with serious inquiry, tracing the speaker's internal dialogues alongside interactions with others regardless of gender. National concerns and civic issues intersect with romantic sentiment and philosophical thought. These pieces observe the emotional and social friction embedded in daily life, documenting both personal introspection and broader collective matters through clear poetic structures.
