We Guided Him to the Two Highways

About this book

This book approaches questions of Islamic belief and human existence through a call for clarity and a return to innate religious understanding. The author critiques elaborate theological argument and unreflective imitation, contrasting them with his view of the early Muslim community's understanding. Through issues that have generated disagreement, the discussion considers the relationship between religious knowledge and personal certainty. Wisdom and discernment are presented as ways to understand human purpose and responsibility, within a faith-based account intended to make questions of belief more accessible.
