Building No. 7

About this book

Mary is drawn through the cold January fog to a decaying building numbered seven. Nightmares and visions involving mirrors follow, revealing a connection with Josephine, whose life during the First World War is marked by loss and attachment to a soldier. A century separates the two women, yet their identities and experiences begin to overlap. Matilda, the maid, explains Mary’s visions as feverish delirium, leaving their nature uncertain. In Building No. 7, Mostafa Awad brings psychological horror and mystery into a story that links lives across time.
